(Dec. 21) -- A 13-year-old paralyzed boy passed out clothes and other necessities to the homeless in downtown Fresno, Calif., on Saturday.
Andrew Mitchell, who uses a wheelchair, took part in the first "Church Under the Bridge" by handing out clothes, sleeping bags and toiletries to homeless men and women, TV station KFSN reports. Andrew was injured during a drive-by shooting in 2002 that left him paralyzed from the chest down.

The event, sponsored by Andrew's church -- Pearly Grove Baptist -- also included a free meal.
"A lot of them don't have families that they can go share Christmas with, and it's the holiday time. We have that. We take those things for things for granted," said Andrew's mother, Stephanie Mitchell.
